August 10, 2012 - Sometimes in rescue we don't take the time to stop and listen to what our rescue dogs are trying to tell us.  We know they have stories and backgrounds and we become so accustomed to telling people we don't know their past, focus on their future.  Having spent a little over a week really listening to the thoughts and feelings of some of my foster dogs, I encourage you to just sit with your pet, or your foster and appreciate that they do have a past, they have a story.  And we are given the privilege of being a part of their future and of that story.  Thank you for taking the time to listen with me.
